The Clarkes

The Clarkes are a husband and wife duo currently living in Temple, Texas.  The group adds bass and drums for full band shows.

Brandi Belle Clarke began her fiddle career in a family bluegrass band when she was 16. Before long she was performing in Texas dance halls and attending McLennan Community College’s commercial music program. She spent a few years playing fiddle with numerous acts in Nashville and touring with alternative country bands. Brandi moved back to Texas at the end of 2010 after completing her degree in Composition and Arranging at Belmont University.
Bryce Clarke has been playing guitar since he was 12. For the past decade he has played with various bands across the state of Texas and beyond, including Max Stalling, blacktopGYPSY, Matt Harlan, Miss Leslie, and many more.

The couple met while playing in a Top 40 country dance band. After playing together in numerous bands, Brandi and Bryce went their separate ways for a few years pursuing different paths. They were reconnected, and married at Robert’s Western World, on Broadway, in Nashville, TN in 2010.

In 2012 the couple decided to start their own project under their last name. With influences including Merle Haggard, Buck Owens, Uncle Tupelo, The McKay Brothers, Steve Earle, Slaid Cleaves, and years of experience as sidemen, they are now stepping to the front of the stage to play their own brand of Country/Americana.

The Clarkes recorded their debut album in 2013 and continue to play fun parties and honky tonks all over the great state of Texas!
