A true blue eyed soul legend Roy Head stormed the charts in 1965 with his signature song, Treat Her Right. Only The Beatles’ Yesterday prevented him from hitting the top of the charts. As the only white artist on Houston’s Duke/Peacock records Roy dazzled crowds at the Apollo Theatre and was purportedly thrown off a tour with the King of Soul for out-dancing James Brown.
